High efficient visual content analysis and computing, machine learning, graph representation learning, intelligent decision-making
Prof. Zhang’s current research interests include high efficient visual content analysis and computing, machine learning, graph representation learning, intelligent decision-making, etc.. He has led multiple research projects funded by the NSFC, the National Key R&D Program of China and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published over fifty papers in international journals such as IEEE T-PAMI, T-IP, T-CYB and T-MM, as well as top international conferences including NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV and ICLR. He serves as a member of the Computer Vision Committee of the China Computer Federation, the leader of the Digital Media Content Description Group of the AVS Standard Working Group, and the leader of the IEEE 1857.6 Standard Working Group. He has received the Presidential Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences and is a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In 2019, he won the champion of Imagenet and cifar-100 tasks in the neurops neural network compression and acceleration competition

In 2018, he won the second prize of science and technology award of China Image Graphics Society
